Who runs Capito?
Ashley Thomas, Director, has been a finance broker for more than ten years, working in high-net-worth and specialist lending. That includes Lombard lending, where loans are secured on a client’s investments rather than their income.
Over his career, Ashley has worked on deals of varying size and complexity, generally from £500,000 to over £5m. Clients have ranged from entrepreneurs in London to property developers across the UK.
Ashley is also a director of Magni Finance, a separate FCA-authorised brokerage that arranges loans of £1m and above for high-net-worth clients. Capito is a different company and is not regulated by the FCA.
Ashley reviews every guide on this site. You can find him on LinkedIn.
How do we work?
You tell us what you need in one short form. We take your case to specialist lenders whose criteria fit it, and there’s no credit check until you choose a lender.
We deal with the lender’s questions through to completion. Valuations and legal work are done by independent firms. Luxury asset enquiries are handled in confidence, with an NDA on request.
What we don’t do
We don’t arrange regulated lending, such as a loan secured on a home you or your family live in. For loans of £1m or more we pass those enquiries to Magni Finance, an FCA-authorised brokerage of which Ashley Thomas is also a director. Smaller regulated enquiries go to another FCA-authorised firm that is not connected to Capito.
We never promise approval or rates; the lender decides.

Check your optionsCapito is a Commercial Finance Broker, not a lender. Capito Finance Limited is not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority and does not arrange regulated mortgages. If you or a family member live in the property, or will, the loan is likely to be regulated and we refer you to an authorised partner firm.
